After an entire morning of hunting with nothing to show for it, Bandit was in absolute despair. What kind of clan would they be if the only territory they had secured could produce nothing in the way of prey? Sure it was hardly past the last snowfall and any intelligent animal would not have emerged from hibernation yet, but surely there were some stupid mice running around, and therefore bumping into trees. No, it seemed that these mice where smarter than the back alley variety. With a deep breath, the black and white she-cat rose to her paws. She had been sitting in the shade of a large boulder, resting after a morning of walking back and forth across the territory. ‘There!’ She thought, relief flooding her as she saw something twitch a few fox lengths away. ‘Perhaps I’ve just been looking in the wrong spots.’ Without another thought she sunk into an instinctive crouch and crept towards the little creature. She lunged foreword, feeling the creature’s delicate heartbeat through her whiskers. A moment before she landed the brown mouse darted away. Cursing under her breath the she-cat followed after it, scrambling over rocks and through puddles. Moments before it found a crevice she could not reach her claws sunk into it. After killing it with one swipe, Bandit picked it up by the tail. Though she was vaguely hungry, she decided to see if she couldn’t find Sam. Although he might begrudge her for it, he complained about everything, it would be harder for him to catch or even to find something to eat. It had been difficult enough for her.
So with the pine trees as her destination, she headed home. Home, how funny that they had hardly been here a (Insert length of time here) and already she thought of that camp as home. It took her less than ten minutes to reach the camp. Once there she went looking for Sam, and couldn’t find him. She didn’t bother checking the den where he slept; if he was there he would probably be sleeping. Even if she carried food with her, she was sure he wouldn’t care to be disturbed. That was an understatement, really. ‘No choice but to eat it myself.’

Muttering fiercely under his breath, Krezirk stomped away from Rowan. Making a racket a normal sized cat would not be capable of, Krezirk could care less if he scared away all the prey between here and the top of the mountain. Who did Rowan think he was? Ordering him around like he was some sort of servant! Well, they had unofficially decided he was leader, but that still didn't give that cat the right to boss him around, did it? Maybe he didn't want to be part of these Clans, but Rowan was right, they did need more information before they did anything rash. Another cat had entered camp while Rowan was giving him orders, Krezirk recognized the black and white pelt of Bandit, scarfing down something she had caught. Well, she was as good as any of the cats in this "Clan," why not ask here? Krezirk's orangish body strode up to her, shadowing the she-cat as she ate. Without waiting for her to move back into the sun, Krezirk, being just as bad if not worse then Rowan, "Come with me when you're done, Rowan wants us to interrogate a clan cat." It didn't occur to him that he was ordering her around the same way. Krezirk thought he had a perfect right to bark out orders and usually, they were obeyed. But he couldn't help taking offense when someone gave him a taste of his own medicine.

((It seems Owl would like to join us as well. *Pokes Raven's last post under {Sitting} and {Waiting}* Purhaps all three cats should go?))
"Kidnap a clan cat?" She asked, not really sounding terribly interested. "Why?" Knowing Krezirk probably wouldn't answer, unless it was to growl something unfriendly, she wondered why she even bothered to ask in the first place. It didn't really matter in all reality. If Rowan wanted them to kidnap a clan cat, a clan cat they would kidnap. In two swift bites Bandit finished her mouse, having eaten nearly everything edible before she had been interrupted. Rising to her paws she turned to see Owl confronting Krezirk and the retreating Rowan. She heard him say 'I would be more than happy to accompany Krezirk.' Well. she thought to herself, the more the merrier. In this case merry wouldn't have been the word she would have used. Still, having Owl along would mean Krezirk wouldn't center all his gripping on her. Sure she was fairly tolerant, but someone needed the patience of a Starclan cat to deal with Krezirk and Bandit was not a Starclan cat. This wasn't the analogy Bandiot used, she didn't believe in Starclan or Fallenclan or whatever they wanted to call it, but it gets the point across. "Three cats would be enough to kidnap any clan cat and we would be able to fight our way out if attack by one of their patrols."

ooc;; I will post on this board, seeing as how having the same role play on two different boards would be more than a little confusing. xD

ooc// Blah, sorry, I got all confused. I think we're all over here now, correct me if I'm wrong.
bic// "How should I know why Rowan wants to do anything?" Snapped Krezirk, vaguely aware that she might not have been wanting an answer. It suddenly occurred to him that Rowan must not have thought him capable of catching a cat himself, otherwise why would he have told Krezirk to find company? The old tom started to shake, ever so mildly, with anger. He opened his mouth, about to resort to his usual yelling, when he heard that confounded Owl offering his help as well. Rowan obviously didn't need him, when he had all these other cats jumping to obey his every wish and command. Krezirk, who was always teetering on the edge of madness, attempted to push aside his anger for a moment. He managed to keep himself from storming off to who-knows-where and turned to face Owl. "Come! Why not? Invite the whole Clan! What do I care?" Krezirk's voice cracked a bit, he'd been keeping his anger at bay for quite some time now, he needed to kill something. Unfortunately Rowan wanted a live cat, but perhaps getting out of this crazy camp might do some good at least. "Lets just go! Now! We've wasted loads of time, we need a stupid clan cat, don't we? Then lets get moving!" Krezirk barked, sounding less like a cat every minute. If only he didn't lose his temper like this every few hours, perhaps he would be a bit less stressed.

Owl brushed the harsh words off with a flick of the tail; the other tom's anger did not faze him at all. His green eyes looked Krezirk over disapprovingly, so much unneeded hostility seemed to fill him. He turned his gaze on Bandit, looking at her thoughtfully. After a few short seconds he dipped his head in greeting.
"If you are ready then" he said curtly and eyed the two cats questioningly. From Krezirk's outburst he obviously wanted to leave then, but they couldn't just run off without any forethought. "But first, I think it would be best if we decided on a course of action, we can not just bound around with no particular clan in mind. So the question is, what clan and how should we go about this"Owl mewed, his mind skimming over possible ideas. They could just sit in wait in a clan's territory. Perhaps TangleClan, they had thick growth which would make hiding in wait easier. Though it would be dangerous if they had to give chase. They barely knew their own territory, much less another clan's. Then there was the question of how to go about getting the answers they needed. Simple threats would work but it wasn't a very good idea if they wanted to stay on reasonable terms with the cat's clan. Who knows if the cat would tell them, most likely not if they had any sense of loyalty to their clanmates and leader.
A small sigh escaped him, his eyes narrowing in frustration. He would just go with whatever Krezirk or Bandit suggested.
ooc;; I just skipped on over to here.

Bandit returned Owl’s brief appraising gaze as well as his greeting. She licked a paw, grooming unconsciously as she considered his words. “Another question to consider,” She said softly “Is who to capture. While a younger might be easier to convince to talk, it is more likely their absence will be noticed. On the other hand, an older cat would probably be less vocal about their clan’s activities. As to which clan,” she paused hesitantly “I think Tangleclan would be easier to penetrate. Their boarder with us, that river, would wash away our scent as we crossed. Until their cat was returned they would have no proof that it was Rockclan that had taken them.” She waited for a response, eyes flickering from Krezirk to Owl and back again. Meanwhile she had begun to groom her ears, swiping her paw over one then the other. Midswipe it seemed she realized what she was doing. With a final swipe she set her paw down, determined to make it look as though she had intended to get a jump start on her day's grooming rather than an unconscious habit.

ooc// Tangleclan sounds good, since those apprentices are running around SnowClan.
bic// Krezirk's stumpy little tail swished back and forth visibly. His grey eyes narrowed, if there was anything he hated worse then felines like himself, it was those cool quite types. Kaza had been like that, that cretan. Krezirk hoped he had come to a nasty end. It almost made him smile thinking of that goody-two-shoes dying, all along, by cause of some unimpressive event, like tripping over a root and falling off a cliff. Perhaps that was another reason he had come along with RockClan, he didn't want to be around if Kaza happened to prove living and spoil all his hopeful imaginings. Not Bandit was talking, yes, TangleClan would do fine. Krezirk himself might have prefered to take a cat from SnowClan, TangleClan made him feel a little nervious as it was harder to see everything and Krezirk tended to rely on his sense of sight rather then his hearing, due to the fact that one of his ears was near useless. "Aren't those mouse-brained Clan cats at least half as curious about us as we are about them? I would be very surprised if they didn't keep a close eye on us. It shouldn't be to hard to capture one of them, as long as we do it, and don't sit around all day talking about it!" Krezirk was rather suppressed to find himself talking sense, it made him angry. Was that unexpected? He hated it when other people said useful things, to think he was doing it as well made him very mad. Who knows quite how Krezirk turned out so sullen and full of hate, he himself blamed it entirely on Kaza, but the fault might have been in their parents. If their guardians hadn't pushed Kaza to watch over his younger brother perhaps Krezirk wouldn't have resented him so much, but one can never really tell. "An younger cat." Krezirk added selfishly. Finally, he would be able to give the little creatures what they deserved.

"Right, so TangleClan it is, and a younger warrior would be best" he finally said after mulling over options for a few seconds. He had been watching Bandit's unconscious grooming and he gave an inaudible purr of amusement. It was strange how some cats reacted in groups. Putting those thoughts aside he stood up. Digging his front claws into the dirt he felt his muscles stretch and then loosen as he extended his limbs. After a few satisfying pops of his joints he turned his head to the others to look at them with a placid contentedness. "You might be right Krezirk, though we don't know how skilled they are. But that is the point of this expedition, that we should be getting a move on"Owl mewed, reminding himself that they would need to be quick about things. He flicked his tail for them to follow and started out of the new camp. He wasn't paying much attention to his actions, the orders and leading coming subconsciously. It was a gathered trait after making decisions for himself for as long as he had. Though he has found out the hard way it annoys some cats.

Bandit stood, too, deliberately taking her time to stretch out each leg and roll her shoulders. So not to delay them, she really didn’t want either Krezirk or Owl to think that they needed to wait for her, she quickly trotted after Owl. She had made it a point to stretch, but there was no way she planned on being the one to slow the group down. She only slowed once she was a few paw steps behind Owl, walking to one side so that she wouldn’t run into him if he stopped suddenly. If she resented the orders he gave, she didn’t show it now. Her face was peaceful; she enjoyed having something to do nearly as much as she enjoyed the faint wind that ruffled her fur. ‘Toms’ she thought to herself with an eye-roll; first Rowan, then Krezirk, and now Owl. It seemed in was in thier genes, that desire to tell others what to do. To be the leader. Truthfully though she objected to Owl’s distinctive leadership far less then she did Krezirk growled instructions.

"Of course I'm right," muttered Krezirk under his breath as, too, padded after Owl. Quickly catching up with the much pleasanter cat, Krezirk made sure he did not fall behind. He wouldn't have that irksome tom acting as if he was leader too, after all, Rowan had asked Krezirk to find companions, not the other way around. Krezirk was starting to seriously doubt whether the effort to fit in was worth it. Being a Clan seemed an awful lot of work so far. And having to get along with others, something Krezirk wasn't particularly skilled at. He hoped it would eventually pay off. He had heard that Clans cared for their elders as well as kits, and true, Sam seemed to have been getting a lot of attention lately. It seemed a somewhat nice thought to know that even when he could no longer fight there would still be a place for him. After all, Krezirk was getting on in his years, it was only a matter of time before he started to decay. Krezirk wondered who would possibly want to care for him, and made a silent resolve to try to be a little nicer. "What are you looking at?" He snapped at Bandit, she hadn't actually been looking at him, but he didn't like her attitude. So much for resolutions.

His stride was long and quick as he padded purposely towards what he believed was TangleClan territory. He knew the tanglewood forest started in the direction he was currently traveling, they obviously weren't called TangleClan for their attitudes. They could be quite prickly though and seemed to be wound tightly. Owl spared a glance back at the other two, checking their condition. They seemed to be grudgingly following him. With Krezirk giving Bandit snippy comments, they sure were a happy bunch. Not that he really cared what they thought, it wasn't like Owl to think much of others attitudes and feelings. Well, except when it mattered.
He could see the green smudge growing into the thick forest area, and sure enough the strange scent of TangleClan cats grew as they neared the edge of RockClan territory. Owl wasn't accustomed to borders and felt no ill feelings as he crossed the scent markings without hesitating. He bounded from the shallows of the creek to the other side easily and waited for the others to cross. "Perhaps we should go a little farther and wait for a short while"Owl suggested with a small flick of the tail. [/center]

Bandit nodded, it made sense. Their best bet would be to hide in the undergrowth and wait until a suitable cat, the criteria for suitable being one that was alone, arrived and attack. All they would have to do would be to knock said cat out and carry them back to camp. Simple; the best plans always were. They were harder to botch and no one got confused. As she approached the bank she noted several paw prints scattered along the bank, left in the thick mud. This didn’t really surprise her, the river was probably a high traffic area since it was the nearest water source apart for the camp.
Unlike so many of her feline companions, Bandit didn’t detest swimming. In fact, she enjoyed it immensely. It was easy to see as she plunged into the churning water, no hesitation. With quick, powerful strokes she made it across, only when she was getting out did she pause for a moment. ‘Don’t be silly’ she chided herself silently. These boarders have no meaning, they are just invisible lines. No, that wasn’t true. Rowan didn’t realize it, or maybe he just didn’t care, but these clans took boarders seriously. Crossing them could be a reason for war and kidnapping another cat surely would be. He hadn’t even considered that, had he? Why would he? No wonder he decided to call us Rockclan. A clan full of the stubbornest, most hard-headed cat she’d ever met.

Krezirk gave no inclination he had heard Owl, but listened to what he was saying. That would be best, to wait. They might not even smell quite the same with coats full of water. He waited for Bandit to cross, then plunged into the river. Aye! It was icy! Krezirk's face was a mask, but inside he was shivering. His large paws brought him swiftly to the other side and he climbed out of the water. Instinctively, he began to groom himself. The Tanglewood, as it was rightfully called, looked dark and uninviting. Krezirk wondered how any cat could dwell in it without suffering from sever claustrophobia. The tops of the trees swayed slightly in the wind, but it did not seem to penetrate the depths of the Tanglewood. Krezirk had glanced around at the bit of this forest of their side of the river, but it was even thinker here. it shouldn't be to hard to sneak up on anything, with all the scents coming from that place, Krezirk doubted the Clan cat would notice them ahead of time. The others seemed slightly wary on this side of the river, Krezirk supposed he should be too, on this side of the boarder. But the concept of a boarder was rather new to Krezirk, and he had barely noticed when crossing it. "Well, lets get on with it," he growled softly, eyeing a clump of muddy ferns suspiciously. There had to be a clean hiding spot around here somewhere.

out of coffee;; Sorry to interupt, but I'm extremely curious, and yeah. Which cat are you planning on catnapping? Or, from which clan if you haven't decided on what cat yet... Any of my kittys are up for the taking, if you need someone. Preferably Moondance, seeing as she still needs to meet her RockClan cat.
