Name; Dawnpaw
Gender; She-cat
Age; 9 moons
Clan; SnowClan
Rank; Apprentice
Description; Dawnpaw has a fairly slim build, though that may come from being an apprentice and not being fully grown just yet. There are upsides to having such a slender shape of course, those being agility, speed, and stealth. As for her fur, it's quite soft and silky, as if licked throughly many times a day. It's not, of course, as she only grooms herself as much as most cats do, it simply seems that way. Her coat is a light gold color, blending with a flecks of darker gold along the backs of her ears and her hind paws. Lighter golds, along with very few blonds and whites, mix in at her underbelly, specifically her stomach. The unusual thing is her eyes, which are actually a medium-light blue.
Personality; Dawnpaw is a rather friendly cat, always wanting to play with the kits and other apprentices and talking with the elders while she's helping them. It just seems a bit strange how shy she can be at times. Should a new cat enter the Clan--whether they were a rogue, kittypet, or whatever--Dawnpaw is likely to keep her distance until some other cat tells her how nice the new warrior/apprentice/whatever is, and how she should go over and say hello. Even then, her nervousness may have her delaying the meeting until she decides how silly she's being about it all. Should she decide she likes the new cat, she will treat them like any other warrior/apprentice/elder/whatever, almost as if they had been a part of the Clan all along.
Being an apprentice, Dawnpaw can't help but be a bit competitive. Assessments make her tail twitch with anticipation, as she's seemingly always ready to prove herself. She's constantly trying to one-up the other apprentices, whether it's by one vole or three swift cuffs with sheathed claws. Of course, she would never go so far as to sabotage or become upset when she loses. No, she would simply take defeat as a reason to train more, train harder, should her mentor permit that.
Helping out the medicine cat is a nice thing to do for Dawnpaw, as she gets to spend time with him/her and help her Clanmates at the same time. Not that she ever gets to, of course, what with her apprentice jobs and training and everything. If she ever got the chance to, though, she would be over there in a heartbeat, for sure.
History; The medicine cat had come early in the morning to see how the queen was doing. Her kits, she noted, were due soon. When exactly she hadn't figured out yet, but soon, for sure. Walking into the nursery, the medicine cat noticed the pained expression on the queen face as she muttered something about the pain. A few minutes later, a tiny kit lay by her mother's side, being licked by the queen's rough tongue. She was named Dawnkit, for when she was born and for the golden color of her fur. When she grew a bit older, Dawnkit loved to play-fight with the other kits, trying to find a way that she could be the leader. It didn't so much which leader, as long as she was one. The leader, everyone knew, always won.
Like most other kits, Dawnkit became an apprentice at the age of six moons, Dawnpaw. Training was, at first, a bit difficult, but she soon caught on to the movements and positions, hunting and fighting as well as any other young apprentice.
