A large brown tabby sat at the entrance to a cave, watching the emptiness of the space before him. The chilly breeze ruffled through his short pelt. The thought that New-Leaf was here and warmer weather would soon follow warmed his already chilled insides. It was cold on the mountain, especially at night. Even in his sheltered den Rowan shivered once darkness had fallen. Rowan supposed he would get used to it eventually, he hoped anyways, otherwise living here would prove rather uncomfortable. He didn't let it bother him too much, he had a good feeling about this place, and Rowan had leaned long ago to trust his feelings.
Vibrant green eyes searched the new camp, the cats, is seemed, were settling in rather nicely, though he could not spot one of them at this moment. Perhaps they were all out exploring their new territory. Rowan hoped so, they needed to know as much as they could about this place if they hoped to stay. He was quite certain that the existing Clans would not be happy about their decision to live with them, but they would get used to the idea eventually.
That brought him to another problem. They needed to know more about the customs of these Clan cats. What they had heard so far Rowan, at least, had liked. but he got the feeling he didn't know half of it. The main dilemma was not what to do with the knowledge, but how to attain it. He was not positive the Clans would willingly share all their beliefs with any of his cats, though he meant to get them to try.
The thought crossed his mind that it might be necessary to kidnap one of their warriors and force him to tell them about their customs, but Rowan hoped they could come to a solution peacefully. he did not, however, abandon the idea completely.
Movement caught his eye and Rowan recognized the impossibly large figure of Krezirk, perhaps the most irritating feline in the world. Rowen beckoned the huge tom and watched as he reluctantly obeyed.
"What?" he grumbled, gruffly, as if he could care less about whatever his leader had to say.
"Krezirk," Rowan began smoothly, this cat needed to be persuaded to do anything. "Krezirk, I have a little problem."
"Well don't make it mine," Krezirk turned as if to leave it at that.
"Wait," Rowan cut his off, and was pleased to see Krezirk obey, "To put it frankly, we need to learn about these cats. And the best way to do so will be from them. Krezirk, I want you to find one of these Clan cats, and befriend it." Rowan realized how silly that sounded, Krezirk couldn't make a friend if he wanted to!
"On second thought, find someone else to go with you. Together, pressure the Clan cat to tell you as much as possible about the way they live. If we want to survive it is vital we do this." two cats aught to do it well enough, no one in their right mind would pick a fight with Krezirk unless they had reinforcements, and if Krezirk found someone persuasive, things might work out rather well.
Krezirk grumbled something inaudible, but Rowan was fairly certain he'd do it.

Who might like to go with Krezirk?
